So I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the weather is insane. It’s the 1st of May but we’ve been seeing rain, sleet and snow all while the sun is shining, so I think its safe to assume Spring has definitely sprung. I seized the hour or so of break in the clouds and decided to take a stroll around in some clothes I’ve been particularly saving for this season (I know, strange but true). I’m liking pinstripes for a smart casual look this spring and wanted to play with mixing neutral colours but ultimately matching it all.
I purchased this formal bomber jacket (a must-have, might I add) from Topman’s LUX range a while ago but haven’t had the chance to wear it so I was pleased to get the opportunity. Its a slightly cleaner and sleeker silhouette and a more luxurious fabric, which most of the items from the LUX range are. I chose to pair it with a simple navy crew-neck knit from COS, a wardrobe staple that all men should own by the way! The soft grey hue of the bomber matches well with the warm navy, which I continued with my ASOS pin strip smart joggers. They’re a great smart casual piece as they’re suitable for work or play, they’re pinstripe print smartens up a t-shirt and sneakers or can be worn with a white shirt and blazer for office wear. The trousers are also a warm navy with a grey pinstripe which tied the whole outfit together nicely (I usually hate matchy, matchy but this outfit, I like!). To top it off I threw on some grey socks from Uniqlo and these amazing two tone grey canvas slip-on Vans, they give me Céline inspired vibes so I’m obsessed with them.
Let me know you’re thoughts on the outfit by leaving a comment below!
